What I Do
Mainly, I think about and then do projects on the Internet.
Plus, I can write anything. Trust me, you’ll love it.
I am always looking for interesting projects. If you want to tap my juice, lemme know. I charge by the hour, but in a wholesome way.
My passion is for intersections:
- Where creative meets technical
- Where strategy meets tactics
- Where Internet Life meets Real Life
If something meets something else, I want to make them fit together. These are where the really interesting problems need to be solved. And I love solving problems.
“Detail oriented” is such a terrible term. It doesn’t even come close. I am detail obsessed. My mother calls me Mister Scenario. I was once called Mister Minutia. Your details are safe with me.
Why I do it
I work in web communications for two reasons: the people who are good at it and the people who aren’t.
These things energize and motivate me in a unique way:
- Getting great copy sent to me that I barely have to edit
- Sitting down with other communications nuts and going over strategy
- Complaining about how much we all hate Papyrus
Conversely, these are some baffling, frustrating challenges I love to solve:
- Getting terrible copy that needs five or six extensive revisions
- People who set up a Twitter account and a blog, update each ten times in two days, and then leave them for two years
- People who use Papyrus
